The Friends of the Library are now in high gear preparing for the 17th Chapter of Savoring Sewickley, an annual fundraiser which supports the Sewickley Public Library. This convivial and casual evening features signature dishes from many favorite local restaurants. Please visit to purchase tickets online or stop by the library to pick up an invitation.

Savoring co-chairs Teresa Duff and Jamie Chappell urge supporters to purchase tickets online at The co-chairs and their team have been working for months to make this event even more memorable than the 16 prior Savorings! “If you purchase a raffle ticket for $10.00 at the library or during the event, you have a chance to win 4 club level seats to a January 31st Pittsburgh Penguin game – a value of $760! Not everyone can attend Savoring, but there’s always a way to support the event and in return enhance the services the library provides,” stated Teresa Duff.

This fundraiser, along with a number of used book sales and other assorted efforts, helps to keep the library shelves stocked with fresh and up-to-date materials. The Friends annually support the library by donating more than $50,000 toward the purchase of new books, DVDs, and other resources that can be borrowed by anyone with a library card.

Please join us amongst the books, which regularly yield proper and rational amusement, for a special celebration with an assortment of small plates and refreshing libations.

Some of the event supporters include: Sewickley Heights Golf Club, Sewickley Speakeasy, Sharp Edge, Slippery Mermaid, Ultimate Pastry Shop, Two Rivers Olive Oil Company, 424 Walnut, Allegheny Country Club, Andora, Bellevue Beer, China Palace, Crazy Mocha, Sewickley Confectionary, Café Notte, Mambo Italiano, Safran’s Supermarket and Salud Juicery.

The donation to attend the event is $75 per person and tickets go on sale online Monday, September 19th. Information for Savoring Sewickley is available at Space is limited. RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Doors open at 6:00PM.
